OK I have been a complete slacker about updating the blog. I spent hours this evening uploading and editing photos to get this thing up to date. So you get a picture of the kitties' entrance to their little fort. Oh, and another note...I *temporarily* stopped adding the camera settings below the pictures. It takes a surprisingly long time to do on the laptop. I'll start up again when I get back on track.

Coals atop a hookah at Cafe Layal. I think this was the mint-flavored one we ordered, and we got apple (my favorite) after that. For those who don't frequent Middle Eastern places or didn't grow up there, shisha is flavored tobacco that is smoked through a water pipe. It's very mild and relaxing, perfect for a reunion with some friends from Saudi.

Yet another photo taken in an Asian restaurant. We got a new Japanese/Sushi place within walking distance! And it's awesome! I couldn't be more excited. They have this ahi tuna appetizer that is to die for.

The Luck Be a Latke sandwich at Kenny & Ziggy's Deli. It is the most amazing sandwich in the world. The juiciest beef brisket with potato pancakes instead of bread, served with applesauce and sour cream. I'm sad I don't have one right in front of my as I type this.
